That or he's using some type of killswitch, but yes, so fuckin rad. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he write a majority of this album? I always thought his approach to writing and playing had sort of a "mad genius" vibe to it

 

I remember getting Beggars by Thrice and then like a month later getting this album and thinking what a good time it was to be a music fan.

Reminds me of what happened with A Black Mile and Science Fiction back to back

 

i think jesse has gone on record to say that musically the album was more split than before, more 50/50. i don't know how much of that chalks up to lyrically though but i'd guess probably around the same, or at least them cowriting lyrics or something.

also the killswitch definitely makes sense given how massive their pedal boards are

 

I have no idea what Black Mile is and not a huge fan of Science Fiction

Oh! I never checked out their albums but saw them open up the 2nd time I saw Brand New (right when Daisy came out. Opened with You Don't Know and then went right into Vices, so epic). I liked them. I should check it out.
