I love how it bookends that album. I never skip either. But i mean i'm much more of a full album person so i rarely skip any songs on any album i listen to.

 

I def hear Manson in the music, but can't get some of that FOBesque vocal out of my head when listening. I'm one of the weird ones in that regard.

 

Please share fob song that sounds like 451 would probably really like it

 

Any FOB song in particular?

Agreed 110%! It totally sets the tone for the entire record. I couldn't imagine skipping through it

 

Also worth noting, whether you like Marilyn Manson's music or not, you have to admit he's extremely smart and well-spoken.

 

I posted a long time ago (probably hundreds of pages ago) that it's not so much the song is comparable to any FOB song, but that there is something in the vocal inflections and layering that make me think of Patrick Stump.

Edit: Album sounds like it will be interesting. Cinematic talk makes me think of the new Manchester and SF so i will def want to hear it. Also he delayed the release (was supposed to come out in Feb) which makes me think it was not rushed and he took his time with it.

 

Reminds me of folie a deux. That was the first thing I heard when I listened to that song. Maybe I dont care.

 

I feel so conflicted about this being the end. Happy they get to go out on top, but bummed because they obviously still have the ability to put out top notch music. Hoping the PNW gets a show before they end.

 

this is how I feel, its hard to say goodbye when we know that they can still be this good.. I totally understand it but have to wonder if this album being received as well as it has will help change their minds.. but who knows...

uhh I'm at 50 plays on the album.. not slowing down either.. so my itunes only started counting from last year but its already my 4th highest played record.. behind both hotelier Lps and thrice TBEITBN

A friend of mine mentioned the Folie comparison the first time he heard it. Now I can't unhear it (which isn't a terrible thing because I do love that album).

Will do. Love SDRE but I've actually never heard his solo stuff

I come back to it more now than SDRE. I will probably go back to listening to more full band stuff, but I really love this particular album.

Edit: it's also really short, so any other good recommendations coming in can probably be fit in.
