we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

I haven't bought a band tee in like ten years. And I don't really like any of those shirts that were shared. Meh.

    Maybe so, maybe not.

As someone with absolutely ZERO self-control since attending my first show in 2002—buying prints, any tour shirt, so on—I really gotta say...teach me your ways.

  3. This was the setlist the first time I saw Brand New. 2002, with Rufio and Taking Back Sunday.

    The Shower Scene
    Logan to Government Center
Last Chance to Lose Your Keys
    The No Seatbelt Song
    Mix Tape
Seventy Times 7 (with John Nolan)

Before the show, I had to "rescue" Vinnie from my friend's son, who kept hitting him with a lightsaber. Vinnie was just trying to play an arcade racing game in peace, haha.

I wish I knew the setlist of the show I saw on this tour, I went for them but hadn't bought YFW yet. They did the same thing to end it (I have an amazing video of this on my hard drive, but its a real player file and I have no idea how to open that in 2017). I vaguely remember them referencing the split so I think they played Moshi Moshi but I could be wrong. I was 14 and we left in the middle of TBS playing Ghost Man because my friend's parents said it was too late.

I would like to thank @phillyfradet for making me go back in this thread and relive the excitement of Saturday night in here. So fun to read. What a thrill ride that was and so glad i didn't give up hope on the chance that someone would be livestreaming it. I have fond memories of that night already. Unforgettable.

The extremely shitty alternative station in my area sent me an email about "new music" to listen to and one of the songs was Can't Get It Out

I really like out of mana, it's good. not the best song on the album but very good.

also lately I haven't had a full hour to listen to it so i've been listening to Same Logic through 451, that's my favorite stretch of the album.

Out of Mana and No Control have really grown on me. I can honestly say there's not a single song on the album i dislike and never even considered skipping any of them. So its really quite fitting that I got that one track CD because that's all I need to do everytime i want to listen is simply press play.

Also it's crazy how huge Deja is. I swear from where I was in the crowd "Spin Light" was way more known than anything post-Deja

I've skipped Could Never Be Heaven and No Control on a few listens, but for the most part if I have the time I just listen all the way through, except I often skip the intro before Lit Me Up just because I want to get to the music haha (and I still do the same with Daisy/the intro before Vices).

I still love that intro so much and can't fathom trying to get past it.

Huge shoutout to @zacooper for getting that beautiful recording of Saturday's set. I was listening to it while catching up on the thread and it was great. What a set, and what a performance from the band (including Kevin:heart:)

When I saw MM I thought you were talking about a new Modest Mouse song

    I'm extremely disappointed now

That's fair. I do like the intro a lot, because it adds to the "story" of the album. Honestly it kind of reminds me of my undergrad Psych classes, listening to/watching case studies that sounded very similar and were often very disturbing and very interesting.

But it is also an extra minute and a half I can get in for one of the later songs if I'm pressed for time (e.g. driving to work when traffic isn't completely fucked).

Sorry to disapoint. But now that 451 exists Manson is more on my radar. I dont hear FOB at all on 451 I hear a little MM and i love it.

Edit: Sorry for using MM since everyone thinks that is Modest Mouse. My bad everyone. Apollogies for the disapointment this seems to have caused
