I would for sure want to buy a ticket. I would have preferred seeing them indoors but this may have to do for now till they hit Cleveland.

Day I Die might be my least favorite National song since Sorrow

I dig all the subtle electronic effects on this beast

I saved the singles for my first listen but overall the album gave me mixed feelings. The beginning half didn't interest me much, and I found Day I Die along with some other lyrics to feel cheesy and out-of-place for The National (Day I Die is just...not good to my ears- I wish I could hear what y'all are hearing). But from track 8 on, every song is top-tier stuff. I guess I have to let it grow on me.

Idk the first half has the opener which is swell.

This is true. The opener is an instant classic.

Day I Die, in which the twins channel Coldplay and Berninger oversings for the first time since he was carried to ohio in a swarm of beeEEees

The bridge on is great but that chorus is the laziest thing they've put on record since the back half of Sad Songs.

I wasn't sold on Day I Die at first, but I am 100% on board now.

Did you just call Bloodbuzz Ohio bad?

I will literally immerse you in a box full of bees.

I was the same way. Wasn't sold on the live videos of it I saw, but once it was released I was hooked immediately

I love Bloodbuzz, but the way he sings that line has always really bugged me. I had been obsessed with the live recording I had of it before the album came out, and you couldn't really hear that part. For some reason it's still jarring to me 7 years later.

Damn I actually love how he sings that line in Bloodbuzz. Also Day I Die is stellar. The chorus may be redundant but that doesn't make it bad. The verses are fantastic, very melodic and catchy, it's actually the song that's been in my head the most consistently.

Guilty Party, Carin at the Liquor Store, and Dark Side of the Gym is an absolutely incredible run of songs. Guilty Party's lyrics absolutely destroy me. Reminds me of About Today bc of how subtle it is

Yeah I think I'll Still Destroy You is my favorite song on here.. this whole thing is just great front to back though. But when Matt starts singing "It's just the lights coming up" it just feels like a really cathartic moment.

I think Guilty Party is the song that destroys me though. Just the feels

I think Guilty Party, Carin, and Turtleneck are my current favorites. However, that will all change with more listens. Album is an instant classic per usual.

Day I Die is great but one song has to be your least favorite, right? Empire Line is my least favorite but Day I Die is right behind it. doesn't mean I don't love both of them

Empire Line, Born to Beg, and Sleep Well Beast are my least favorites. But take that with a grain of salt. They are my least favorites in the sense that I haven't listened to them 100 times already haha
