Well actually it was already his 3rd movie Sugarland Express, Jaws (technically 4th because he also did Duel first) but ya pretty crazy for sure. Truffaut is good in it. I really like his role and he played the part well

Edit: And apparently he did this one even before Duel: Firelight (1964) - IMDb

Never heard of it until now. Looks like that one was actually remade as Close Encounters thats interesting.

Good scary shows/movies are rare. I am always so excited when this time of year comes around, because we are likely to get a couple of gems through all of the junk.

Its funny it def seems like Circus is the one i always see as being the worst. Never watched it. Seeing Kathy Bates with a beard was enough for me to want to stay away. Have watched most of Hotel, some of Coven and about a little more than half of Asylum.

I always forget about Sugerland Express. Duel was a TV movie right? I never really count that one. Have you ever read the book Truffaut wrote about Hitchcock?

No I haven't. It's good I take it? And Duel i actually really want to see. Its supposed to be really fun and well made even though ya it was a tv movie. Rated well too so that one is still on my watchlist

Duel is rated 7.7 just as high as Close Encounters. I think itunes has it might just rent it sometime and finally watch it

I have a lot of Spielberg to watch, personally.

Also, just noticed that your avatar is a pic of Jesse wearing a Jerry Garcia shirt. That's fucking cool. I just went on the desktop site for the first time in a long time so everyone's avatars are a bit more distinct now.

Do you actually think that? I actually really like AI, but I don't know many who do.

Edit: Knowing of your Shining tattoo now, I am guessing the the Kubrick connection is a contributing factor in your adoration, no?

Yea it was just not enjoyable for me at all. I watched the first episode the night it premiered, and it took me until the night Hotel started to actually force myself to finish the last couple of episodes, because I did not care even a little bit what happened to any of the characters on it. I like Hotel more than most. I thought it was entertaining at least. Roanoke is worth watching.

Wait so are you telling me that you've never seen the first season? Because if so, you should definitely get on that. That season was some great television.

Duel is a good movie. I hope Hollywood doesn't remember that it exists because I don't want it remade.

It plays into it but I actually thought that before I knew Kubrick was involved. It's underrated and misunderstood

I feel like I don't hear as mixed/varied opinions of any show on television as I do about AHS. I'm constantly hearing some people say it's incredible and just as many people saying it's trash. Very divisive show.

Let me jump in to say it's aggressively OK overall haha. Moments of trash, moments of amazing, but mostly middle-of-the-ground weird/fun/creepy

Not that I meant to say I've never heard middle-of-the-road opinions on the show, I just mean that it's so incredibly divisive that the extremes are pretty evenly supported. From what I've personally observed, at least. I don't watch it myself so I don't have any opinion one way or the other haha

we are nothing more than mannequins Prestigious

I've seen the first five seasons, but I have to say that season five (Hotel) left a bad taste in my mouth. So season 6 has been on my dvr for a year and I haven't gotten around to watching it. I started recording season seven (Cult) but the way I am, I need to watch season six first. I know it's more or less an anthology series, but I don't want to miss any connections by watching the seasons out of order.

Did you like season six (Roanoke)?

EDIT: Please disregard my question...I just needed to read your post again :P

For me, it's been Murder House > Asylum > Freak Show > Coven > Hotel

Again, can't comment on Roanoke until I see it!

I think a lot of my Hotel dislike stems from Evan Peters' accent that season. That and I thought the overall story was a bit weaker than other seasons.

No, I just disagree with that label for You Stole but I was too tired to put my points together as to why.
To me, if it's anything, it is emo/post-rock.
