My wife and I are still working through our OC rewatch (well, a rewatch for me and a watch for her). Really enjoying it! I'll add Riverdale to my list.

 

I respect Archie. I just felt like pushing you to make a decision.

 

Lmao. I don't mean this in a negative way, cause I like what you've got goin on, but where the hell did you come from and why? Like, what compelled you to join a music form and be Raditz. I'm a fan.

 

I was unaffected because at that time I was only reading the digests. I'm certainly grateful for it because I feel like it's when Archie Comics, as a company, started trying new things and taking risks, which ultimately led to Mark Waid's Archie series.
Archie overall isn't a very weighty franchise. I just finished an arc where Jughead enlists Kevin to help him plan a surprise party for Archie's parents' anniversary because Archie decided to start acting like Jughead. It's not life or death, but it sure made me feel warm to see Archie's friends come together to help him with something so simple.

 

Who was @Raditz on here before he made that account?

My bad i was still catching up on this thread when i asked that. Should of waited. Thank you so much for doing this @zacooper and Jason for doing a news post about it. Can't wait to rewatch the set. I've got post show downer syndrome and i wasnt even there. I can't get over how breathtaking the stage setup and lighting was. Move over 2001 this was the ultimate trip. Hope they keep all of it (including KD) on the tour.

 

No. I have come to tolerate this planet and see some of the things Kakarot sees in this world. Earth also gave me Brand New. So as long as they're a band I'll allow earth to live.

Just caught up on everything that's happened. That Brand New set sounds absolutely amazing. I'm going to avoid watching it because I want the full experience in October, but that stage set up sounds so cool, and what a setlist. Those are the exact songs I would've wanted them to play from SciFi. Like if you asked me to pick 7 it would've been those exactly. I would like to see Could Never Be Heaven added on the full tour though. I think they're probably saving Batter Up for the last tour.

Also stoked on Kevin playing with them. I do wonder if it'll be the whole tour. It kind of seems like it, which probably means he's opening, which I will gladly welcome.

Lol i know I saw that now. I just get too impatient trying to catch up and want to be part of the current conversation but then i eventually end seeing that it was all covered while i was away. Not sad to have missed some of the talk in here today tho. Just glad to see that after a short lull this thread is def firing on all cylinders again thats for sure. Good to see but also hard to keep up again

 

Hey I found the panel where Jughead asks Kevin for help with the party:

 

Basically Jason and I stated that it's the best teen drama on TV currently.

Starts kinda rocky, but finds its footing on epsiode 4.

It's a dark reimagining of classic Archie with a noir tinge. It juggles teen drama with murder mystery in a very satisfying whodunnit.

Edit: I'm not sure if I'm using the word "noir" correctly, but you know what I mean.

 

curious for your opinion because I've been pondering it myself in the leadup to the season 2 premiere,

what do you think about them upping the episode count to a full 22?

one of the things I loved about S1 was the brevity of that storyline, and there were still times when it got a little bogged down in soapy filler stuff so I initially was a little leery about S2 being so much longer, like maybe too much of a good thing

then I read a long post Cole Sprouse posted on the subreddit basically explaining why he's in favor of upping the episode count and what it could do for the show (fleshing out multiple character arcs, adding "negative space," etc.)

I'm definitely in the "wait and see" camp of course, but I'm not as worried as I was. What about you?
