It's crazy. Like 5 or 6 years ago you could find like an art theatre in the Bay Area that would serve alcohol, maybe. Now, you can't find a theatre that doesn't.

I have a movie theater that serves 3 course meals lol.

 

the regal flagship is my closest one. it's got amazing burgers and waffle fries. i think you can buy beer there as of last month.

 

I can't get behind people getting drunk or eating real food at the movies, seems like a distraction

 

Before I moved, I worked at a theatre and we had a restaurant and would deliver meals/alcohol to your seat. I feel like it's giving people more on an incentive to go to the movies again. I mean, now that torrenting is a thing and 60" TV's and surround sound, attendance is going down.

 

I think it would blow movie exec's minds that way more people would go to movies if they cost $5 and if they made a wider variety of films. Amazing concept.

Matinee is like 6.50 here. Not too bad

 

Disney would take like 64% of every ticket sold. So, when we did have our $5 discount day, we made like nothing on ticket sales lol.

 

Guess I shouldn't venture out to other threads more often. I'll stay here.

 

This thread is like the Stockholm Syndrome of Chorus. Someone tagged me in and kidnapped me and I was bewildered and confused about what was going on around me, but slowly I became accustomed to my captors and ever grew a sort of affinity towards them and now I don't like to leave and spend 90% of my time in here :/
