Hey if it counts for anything I appreciated having someone beside me who could help combat the shoving that was coming from the back. I thought my wife was going to be swallowed up lol.

I may or may not have invited my heavy set friend to stand right behind me as a human barricade

i think everyone, including tall people, should get to enjoy the concert experience that they also paid for. that's only right.
but i will be damned if i don't also say that i get irrationally angry every time a tall giraffe gets in front and blocks my view

Yeah man that was me! She loves MO as much as I do! No way I was keeping her from going lol. She said "I appreciated the tall guy beside me keeping me from getting shoved through the barricade." Kudos to you my friend.

I've brought my wife along to a good few Thrice and Brand New shows. It's half of my evening protecting her at a concert, but she was 8 months pregnant at the Thrice show last year, and HOB was awesome making sure to accomadate her. The only MO album she's liked is A Black Mile, so she might tag along next time.

Seeing you two made me wish my wife was with me. Haha.

Yeah I saw where some guy plowed into you and you just kind of patted your back, I chuckled. I saw the Science Fiction background on your phone I probably should have spoken to you but it was pretty loud when I saw it lol.

She likes Brand New also but we've never been as close we where at this MO concert. There were a few guys around us who were out of control but for the most part it was good.

I will never forget the feeling of those flops of sweat from the big guy's black hair behind me.

Every time he head banged, SLOSHSPLASHSPLOOSH.

    My shirt was soaked afterward.

Don't know if this was posted yet. I really like the concept of the video and how it relates to the album. Illustrates the traceable line between family members/ past generations and their demons really well.

Ten years ago when I first started going to shows I had to get to the front of the crowd, and they were mostly metalcore or some related genre so it was a lot of getting pushed or worse

Now I'm very comfortable in the back or the sides where I have some elbow room

I just want to go where the sound is the best, sometimes that's dead center of the floor. If the crowd is too tall the sound gets drowned out.. I'm 5'10 so I get buried a lot

    I do not exist.

I'm 5"7 - when I was younger I used to get there earlier to be right in front of the stage. I recently graduated to the back and it was a lot more pleasant experience.

To each their own I really enjoy being near the band especially if I'm a huge fan.

I was almost against the stage when I saw Pinegrove in July, but that was the first time I had been that close in a long time. For venues with balconies, I almost always go with the balcony. A lot of it is because I go to 99% of shows with my girlfriend, and she's only about 5'3. She also gets really claustrophobic and anxious in crowds that are tightly packed and push, which is completely understandable.

Love being close, love being in the middle, love being in the back, love being on the balcony. Just totally depends on the show, crowd, how into the band I am, etc.
