I always get sad cause the drive in theater never shows anything I wanna see and last week they showed wonder woman and Dunkirk and I missed it. I mean I've seen them both but its for the drive in experience!

I was reminded today that What.cd doesn't exist anymore and I got sad.

 

After yesterday's disaster I don't want to return to work. But I need a job so I can't quit on the spot which I want to do. I was in dire need of help and management constantly ignored me. They put no effort in calling someone in and I asked at the beginning of my shift and even said I'm going to need help. I am very angry and still want to cry.

 

Can anyone point me to an active thread about art and/or design? Couldn't easily find one through the search.

 

There's nothing like being super cranky and then walking thru the door and having my sister say "ugh that outfit doesn't match." Ppl don't need to test me today

 

ok it ended up being kinda funny cause my younger sister criticized my outfit, and then our older sister walked in and criticized her outfit, and then my dad walked in and criticized our older sister's outfit. Like a chain of fashion criticisms except me apparently cause I'm an angel


also I went against my better judgment and am arguing with a stan. I even had that moment of hesitation where I knew I shouldn't do it cause there's no point, but NOPE I had to say something and now I'm annoyed that they can't see the delusion but like u don't know ur fave and it's weird af to act like u do so stop. I have my faves too but I don't presume to know who they are outside the public persona they put forth or anything aside from what they want us to know so stop being a weirdo.

 

I don't know what thread this post belongs in. I'm enraged, depressed, and devastated with the fucking world right now. My sister just informed me that a friends brother's body was found in a cornfield last night. I'm in shock and I don't know the even know the appropriate etiquette for this kind of situation. I don't know what I'd even say to her or if I should contact her yet. Should I wait to give my condolences at the funeral or contact her sooner? Btw good job breaking up a lovely beautiful family and ruining so many lives you insufferable piss-ant.

 

Huh. Well, in my experience with grief, people will come out of the woodwork to contact you and give their condolences and that can be very overwhelming. It really depends on how close you are with your friend. It's old fashioned but a letter is one of the best options, in my opinion. It shows you care and are there for them but it doesn't put any pressure on them to reply while they're going through stuff. Like, if my best friend's brother died I would call him immediately because we're so close, but if it was just someone I consider a second tier friend, I'd go with the letter. Also, in not entirely sure what you mean by your last sentence.

 

I had to get cavities filled today and the dentist was hating on the ed sheeran song playing and his levels of disdain spoke directly to my soul. It sucks when ur trying not to laugh as they're drilling away tho

 

Thanks for the advice. Sorry, that last sentence was just me venting what I wish I could say to whoever did this.

 

The rodeo is in town next week and for some god forsaken reason ppl are already here and parking in the lot for my building. they don't even have Oregon plates and I'm like gtfoooooooooooo. If I get a ticket cause I had to park on the street while theyre chilling in my lot smh this is SRS business rn

Apparently there isn't a gossip girl thread? And I have some thoughts about how its aged. Blair is a queen obv like her fashion is the only one that has aged extremely well. So fab and classic. Serena not so much. Her styling is bad and her makeup is straight up unflattering in some scenes. The men's fashion aged even worse. I'm glad wearing scarves indoors died down as a trend. Its so much better to rewatch knowing who GG is. mess.

 

the big rodeo here happened a few months ago and it was the worst thing ever because so many country folk came into my work.

 

The rodeo sucks cause the town isn't built to handle that amount of ppl. Also I live downtown which is like the epicenter of activity so I can hear all the terrible cover bands and drunk cowboy wooping. And everyone is a terrible driver. You pretty much can't go anywhere that week cause its too crowded. Schools shutdown and everything has to stop. I would say the food trucks that come in are an upside but tbh I think standards are low and the food is poor quality for a high price. In conclusion there is no upside except I get two days off work but hahaha I have to use my leave if I wanna get paid for those days.
