I really want to make a little writing/reading nook in my room. Maybe a chaise lounge in the corner or something. I'd love for it to be a bit more cozy.

 

The word "nook" made me actually start looking at stuff.

 

I hate Albany in terms of things to "do": it's just close enough to NYC that all the good stuff happens there and we're considered a b market. But I'm very happy to live in a very blue city in a blue state with primarily people my age

 

I'm playing Somg Pop and they just had Jewel in the 90's Alternative category. lolwut?

 

Just got a fortune cookie that read, "you are guided by love and friendship." Well, that's not a fortune, that's a statement, but it's kinda creepy that they know what I nicknamed my left and right nut tbh.

 

Hey Florida peeps, have you lived through a Cat 3 or higher before? I'm not sure if you were there during the ones of that level I grew up with before moving north.

 

I understand the sentiment of asking this and the curiosity, but I like the wording of it because it protects you in case someone in Florida who didn't live through it responds.

 

Haha. I don't mean to sound dickish or "I know better" or anything. Just genuinely curious. My best friend is down in WPB for a med school rotation and he's freaking tf out since he's never been through even a "weak" one before.

 

My first memory is of Hurricane Andrew. Kinda devastating that Irma could quite easily make landfall in Homestead.

 

I think she's a hard one to do a genre for, and she was big around the same time as Alanis so it's not totally bizarre just a bit bizarre

Always found it a bit eerie, honestly.

 

I'm forever grateful that the worst I've experienced is a micro-burst right in front of my fraternity house. Tree missed the house.

A couple of wildfires in So Cal but nothing that threatened my parents house.

Been through several tornados. Hurricanes sound waaaaay scarier.

 

All the water and gas is gone in Tallahassee and didn't even make it back yet. Ugh. I'm back tomo. Might as well keep driving.

I'm surprised you didn't experience more Tornados in Ft Worth. We had one just about every year where I grew up.
