It was a great show! I left during MM though because I was exhausted (drove 9 hours from New Orleans) and dehydrated with a giant headache. Seeing Jesse play part of Wish You Were Here was wonderful though.

 

Usually do this at work where I don't have the convenience of changing it after each album plays.

 

I left in the middle of MM also because we live north of austin and had a baby sitter and needed to get home. then walked around for like 40 minutes looking for our car listening to modest mouse from afar haha. twas a good show.

 

When I got my first car and it only had a CD player I made a 17 track mix cd of random brand new songs

 

How do you sleep at night?

That's why god invented the mp3 CD.

 

From 08-13 I only had cars with CD players so I made mix cds like once a month. I finally got a car with a USB port in 2013 and will never go back. I'm about to get a new car cuz mine just got stolen and hasn't turned up yet, prob getting my older brothers car and he's getting a new one, thankfully it has a USB port too.

 

I honestly never understood the value of MP3 CDs until recently when the aux port in my car died lol

Quite well actually. Tend to get 7-8 total without about half being a deep sleep.

Nah it was YFW, deja, tdag, and demos. I was 16 in 08-09

 

my 2016 model car came with a cd player. Not sure why. Haven't touched it once.

I definitely prefer the USB port to Bluetooth, especially for long road trips.

Yeah, their utility is/was limited, unless you don't have an aux port. Or back when iPods were too expensive and the only other mp3 players could hold like a dozen songs at most.

 

Bluetooth is just a pain to set up for someone else's phone/a new phone and drains battery faster

 

I did buy daisy on cd because the vintage vinyl in St. Louis had a deal where if you bought it there you got to see them do a four song acoustic set before the show. I was sick the day daisy came out and made my mom drive me down there to pick it up then when my friends got out of school I went back wth them just to tag along lol.

 

also I have a video clip of him singing Wish you were here. sounds not bad but can't see anything since I was far and it was super dark already.

 

Yeah, it's a pain in my car and it only has my wife's phone and my phone paired with it. But it doesn't always recognize when one or the other phone is in the car. Or sometimes it will pair the wrong phone when one is in the car (in the garage) and the other is using their phone inside the house. And it takes forever to start up.

I feel like Daisy and YFW are the ones that get people angry. The middle three projects are close enough to be on the same playlist or cd

 

His San Diego bits are spot on for the area he grew up in.

 

Good/bad news. It looks like the festival dropped their prices to $60/each for a pair of two. Good for you because it sounds like the festival didn't sell very well, and won't be crowded. Bad for the overall festival situation, means they aren't as successful as they wanted. And bad for anyone who jumped on tickets in the beginning, to only now see that they are way cheaper now than before

 

Just watched one of the Inside SoCal bits. I'm pretty sure I've met someone like each of those dudes in San Diego lmao
