As long as we're talking about weight/fitness, Jesse physically looks healthier than he's ever been.

    Shut the FFFFFFRESHFISH UP

I forget if this is has been discussed at some point but I had a realization yesterday while listening to SciFi.

In "Could Never Be Heaven," the second verse feels like a giant reference and resolution to parts of "At The Bottom." I know the "there were people I love below me singing" line has been connected to the "at the bottom you'll find all my friends" line. But the part I had the realization with is the lines: "I was drowning in a lake dammed / over a dead mining town / [...] the deeper I sank the less I died." I feel like those lines relate back to the "some men die under the mountain just looking for gold / some die looking for a hand to hold" line in "At The Bottom," with the juxtaposition of mining for gold/looking for a hand to hold, and the fact that in "Could Never Be Heaven" mentions a dead mining town would mean there is no need to mine anymore because he's found what he was looking for (i.e. "a hand to hold," his wife). Then he's sinking further to the bottom of the lake, reconnecting with his loved ones, feeling more alive than ever in his new life.

I don't know if that makes sense to anyone else, but it makes sense in my head lol.

Just dropping in to say @fenway89 and @teebs41 I saw close encounters on the big screen yesterday and it was fucking glorious. I mean obviously it was going to be but ya i can confirm that it was. Hoping for a 2001 50th year anniversary next year because that is another classic that i def still need to see on the big screen

DO IT! So worth it! Rekindled my love for 70s movies all over again.

They played a little featurette before the movie that was really cool. Denis Villeneuve director of Arrival (french canadian represent!) was on it talking about how he was influenced by it JJ Abrams too. You won't regret it that's for sure! PM me your thoughts after lol glad you're going to go Conor

    Personally I like a 2-spoonfuls-of-flax-per-day poop. A no-wipe slider is a win for everyone.

Getting this thread back on topic, I am listening to Toxicity for the first time in a few years and I forgot how good this album is. I listened to this so much back when it first came out.

I've been on a circa binge today after listening to science fiction and tim kasher's new one, I listed to Blue Sky Noise, On Letting go and now Juturna.

I listen to Circa fairly regularly, but I plan to do a full listen through their discography the week the new album comes out.

I need to get on that for MuteMath this week.

the only one I haven't really listened to as much was deconsensus. I just never really gave it a chance. going to listen to that tomorrow I think.

Edit: shockhound acoustic sessions are really good.

I love that one. It's my 2nd or 3rd favorite from them, depending on the day it switches places with OLG, and Juturna is my favorite. The new one is shaping up to be great.

My favorite is a tie between Blue Sky Noise and Juturna. On letting go is really good too though.
