I did when I was younger. Don't really see the value in them anymore. Only ska band I still love is rx bandits because they ditched ska after the resignation

Yes, that is often true, I agree. It just often feels like more like a reliable source when you get the suggestion from someone whose opinion you trust and it gives you something to talk about.

I'm just saying anytime anyone asks me where to start with a band 99.9% of the time I say go in chronological order, I can't think of any band where I haven't said that. And personally when I wanna get into a band, that's what I do without having to ask anyone

I respect that. I think most of aren't arguing against the fact that's what you personally do. We are arguing that's not the best method for everyone. That's why I'll recommend in different ways depending on band and who asked me.

I've never given classic era David Bowie an honest listen because it just seems too daunting. With that said, I loved Blackstar and thought his posthumous EP had some great stuff on it as well.

Halfway through this The National album, it's good but not great.

I like it so far but they have done better.

But this is my first listen so I will need more listens of course. I do enjoy it.

I mean I like Boxer more than YFW so I don't understand the point of mocking me in this instance

Regardless, if you're one of those people claiming The National is boring, I'd still recommend checking out the new one. To me it's just on a different level.

Just finished the new album, It's a good record. What really stuck out to me is the closing track, So many album have perfect closing tracks this year and arguably the best closer in their careers. Brand New, Manchester Orchestra, The National, Kendrick Lamar, and Ed Sheeran (Standard edition). Like these artists literally closed their albums perfectly this year.

    So so so good!

Unless you tell me which direction you listen to DAMN. at, I can't tell which song is your closer for that album.

I always listen to albums from track 1 to the end

I don't care about conspiracy backwards album listening stuff.

    Duckworth is an amazing closer!

lol I was just messing with you. And it is.

I love that whole album, but sometimes I just put on Lust and let it run to the end from there.

I agree that that is the better part of the album!

Lust, Love, XXX, and Duckworth are all in my top 6 for the album along with DNA and Loyalty. The second half of the album is basically flawless to me.
