And I sound defensive as hell, but I promise my responses are typed with a smile. Again, aggressive little twat that I am is unaware until I go back and read. Gonna edit all my posts with smileys.

    Edit:

Logan is full of standout moments. The improvised woo, the guitar solo, the nod to The Cure (and my favorite song of theirs at that), waiting until the second chorus to show it's full potential. It was the song that cemented my love for the band. I've also always been a sucker for sad songs that have catchy guitar work, and it fits the bill.

With that being said, is it the best song on the album? That's debatable, but it certainly is upper tier for me.

Do I agree with what, YFW being one of the best pop punk albums ever? I honestly don't know. I know that I like it a lot, and I know that it's a part of one of my all time favorite bands discography. A good question I like to ask is.....If it wasn't Brand New that released it, and some other band that didn't have a feud with TBS at that time period did, would it be as widely recognized? If Brand New hadn't made such a successfully pretentious/ambiguous follow up, and just stuck with pop punk, would YFW hold it's own still?

Again, you're the only one calling me silly, because you look at my opinion as beneath you cause I didn't make a fight for your approval that I never asked for.

I'm annoyed because you don't get what I said at all. Not sure why that means I shouldn't reply. Feel free to not reply to me.

Um, ok. so remove my "ever" and replace it with that, my questions of it still stand. I feel like you don't wanna be on the same side.

I totally get what you said, you're not really easy to talk to when every time you come back your condescending and so above everything I say.

I mean, I don't know. I agree with a lot of the factors you said that made it so popular.
All that lead it to being so big.

But listening to it now, I would say it was still one of the best pop punk albums of its time. But probably not best pop punk ever. Know what I mean?

You guys are getting a bit too worked up over this. Can't we all just get along?

I really am letting it go. I tried to steer it into a questionable conversation about the validity of calling YFW one of the best but I feel like maybe neither of us are catching the text the way either intends. My bad for my part in it. Band still rules, and I still think the very quiet @EmmanuelSCastle is gonna have a nice lunch.

If you got it you wouldn't reply the way you did. Clearly seeing different things.

Yeah I totally get that. Hell, i'll even go to say that for what the album is, the fact that songs like Logan, Jude, and Soco existed on it should've been clear indicators back then that this band was on a different level.

That's why the "ever" makes a big difference. It entirely changed the context of the conversation. YFW is certainly a gem from that era.
