Good thing he didn't turn on your CD player or he would have been treated to the "To The Stars..." Tom demo CD, then he would have charged you $300.

I got my haircut recently and mentioned I liked the barber's blink-182 shirt and we talked about them throughout the haircut and she knocked my price down a little. That was fun.

here's the real hot take: California is one of about five songs on the album I actually enjoy quite a bit

Why is that a bad thing? You don't have to listen to it. Even if it's bad it's just 3 minutes out of your life. Heck I'd bet on it being a better song than almost anything off Cali/Deluxe
