  2. I had Blink on shuffle this morning on the drive in to work, and I noticed that I can't not sing Tom's songs using his little accents or whatever you want to call them. After listening to those songs so many times, I catch myself pronouncing the words all weird just like he does.

I did think for a bit how this song would sound with Tom in it last night. I wouldn't mind but enjoy hearing Skiba for a change.

So true. I remember me and my brother would take Mark and Tom parts when driving around in the car. If you were singing Tom's parts you best try your hardest to sound like him. Good times.

Do we really think California is already their best selling album on iTunes, or are they just highlighting it there because it's a new release?

Also notice that Bored to Death is already at #6 for Blink song purchases :)

Good morning! I fell asleep to blink on shuffle last night and as a result dreamt that I was in the band. I woke up, realized I was in real life, and felt like a total failure. But hey, at least I have you guys.

Tom isn't that bad of a singer compared to Patrick Stump in terms of not understanding what he's saying sometimes. And yeah, Patrick has improved greatly. New song reminds me of the S/T + Neighborhoods

I'm sure they use some sort of algorithm/keep in mind that iTunes was nowhere near as prominent when most of their albums came out; Enema is up there because it's their most popular album, GH is a greatest hits, and DED and Neighborhoods are their first albums released in the 'digital age'

  13. I wasn't able to keep up with the thread last night, but I'm really enjoying this song. The chorus is great to sing along with, the lyrics aren't horrible, and it's just a fun tune in general.

What made this release so much fun, however, was experiencing it with the guitarist in my band, whose two favorite bands of all time are Blink and Alkaline Trio, so this was the most anticipated single release of his life. I could literally see the goosebumps on his arms when the last chorus kicked in. It's just great to see how a simple song can lift someone's spirits so much.

When we got to the venue for our show last night, we threw together a fun little acoustic cover, if anyone is interested.

if tom sang like he did before angels and airwaves on this song it would be really sweet.

There is 100% no way less than 24 hours of pre-orders has outsold every one of their albums on there. iTunes always does that to put the newest release first. It would be buried otherwise.

The one I always remember being ridiculous was Dashboard Confessional....Hands Down chorus always sounded like he was saying "evuh weemembuh" to me.

I think it's ironic that Feldmann ended up producing the album, since I always thought his voice reminded me a little of early Tom Delonge. Maybe would have provided more contrast than Skiba - but I'm content with our new stepdad, or however Mark put it.

I missed so much yesterday. Is it confirmed if that's the album cover or single art?

  21. I haven't really been a fan of Tom's writing style since he started Angels and Airwaves, and I do feel like he held Blink back, but I am also going to miss hearing his voice on Blink-182 songs. I think the guitar playing on "Bored To Death" is exactly what I wanted from Tom since S/T, but Tom's voice just brought a lot of contrast to the mix, vocally. The Matt and Mark combo meal is kind of like eating at Subway; everything tastes the same. Hahaha, dumb comparison, I know. But really, they sound so much alike. I really hope there's a lot of Matt doing his screamy vocals and stuff to add a little bit more to the vocal contrast on the album. I'm just really excited to hear more songs and really get a feel for what this new chapter's gonna be like. I want those fast songs! I hope they release a few more songs before the album comes out.
