Finally got around to listening to the Modern Vinyl podcast talking about this album with Geoff Rickley. It was really awesome.

Any other good pods about this album that bring up like interesting new points and don't just fanboy out? Besides Encore, deja entendu'd that one.

 

I posted one last night that was pretty cool, but they crap on the end of the record and i disagree with it a good deal.

What's cool about that one is they point out a ton of scifi references and it's more about making those connections than an actual review

There are two that i have on tap. If you search for brand new science fiction in podcasts assuming you have an iphone or ipad or wtv you will see the vinyl me please one and 2 other ones that seem like they will be pretty decent

 

Me too. Hockey is by far the most underrated sport

The NHL Playoffs thread was great during the postseason too

 

I kinda tapped out of it when Edmonton lost because it made me sad hahah

 

Fair enough. I haven't had high blood pressure during the playoffs for a while unfortunately :(

 

As an Avs fan I was very invested in the playoff thread

Hey I went to a Sharks game last year while I was on a work trip in Palo Alto! Real fun team to watch. Sharks fans get real into it

 

I wouldn't say feeling confident, but feeling like we could possibly sneak into the 8 seed. The nice thing in hockey is all you need to do is get in to have a chance from there!

Haha, just giving you a hard time. I mean I don't like the Sharks but hey it's not the flames or ducks so you're fine!

 

I was going to school in Santa Cruz and wanted to go to a game because my roommate at the time is a huge fan, but never got the chance.

Also I don't have many options in terms of local teams because I'm in San Diego. (I know LA has two teams but I hate all LA teams on principle)

 

Yeah I went kind of on a whim. I was talking to some coworkers and mentioned I'd never been to an NHL game and they were like "well we are taking you tonight then". Lots of fun, seriously that crowd there is wild.

And I approve of hating LA teams on principle. Screw the Dodgers!!!

 

Do I have to hate the Ducks too? I'm fine with it if it's ok that I love the 90's Mighty Ducks cartoon still

 

Damn it no matter how many times I click the Science Fiction thread my phone keeps bringing me to the NHL thread
