In my personally experience, there are more people who dislike it than like it. That is all.

Idk.. goodness was my number one last year but I've already started to build a pretty heady relationship with these songs. Both are amazing

why bring numbers into it at all, i guess is the point. like, the only thing you had to say is that you think the album is bad and everything wouldve been okay haha

I don't really have a personal connection to this album (seeing as I've still only listened to it once...) so that gives Goodness the easy edge for me

And, again, you can't prove or disprove if your small sample of evidence is indicative of the broader public's view on that album.

Also, still don't care about the album argument, but I do care that you get why people are giving you shit about this.

Because Jason tried to argue that because something is popular means it's good, which is not true at all

Also, what "other people" think doesn't matter in here... like, that's not going to help you convince anyone an album is bad or whatever. You can think the album is good or bad and talk about that, but who cares what people think who aren't here to discuss it?

That wasn't the argument, the point was that there are tons of people who like it, which was in response to your thing about how "more people dislike it than like it" (which, if you saw my last few posts, I still think is not only unverifiable but also meaningless)

I wouldn't call my camp small. I monitor Blink-182, Yom delonge, and Angels and Airwaves Facebook posts very closely for this exact reason. Maybe the people who like it say nothing but it's literally hate after hate after hate when the topic of Blink-182 is being discussed.

  12. That's not what I said at all. I said that something being popular mean lots of people think it's good and like it. Because, that's literally what popular means.

Trust me, when blink has millions of fans worldwide, people who frequent Internet forums to discuss the music are small sample sizes.

On the topic of California I'm so glad I was blown away by Science Fiction and I doubt I'll ever sour on it as hardcore as I did with California

I mean I also know a bunch of Blink-182 fans in real life

But where else besides those two sources would you read comments?

Tons and tons of movies sell millions upon millions and get trashy reviews from fans.

Things can be popular and bad

  21. Why would you think a random sample of internet comments would be indicative of the popularity of a band with millions of listeners? That's a horrible metric to use. Almost as bad as "I know Blink fans in real life."

do your blink fans irl like neighborhoods as much as you do?

  23. A movie can be popular and get bad reviews from some fans and still be popular and adored by millions of people. And if someone were to look at a very popular movie and say "no one likes this" they would be wrong. Just like you are when you say no one/majority/whatever likes the new Blink-182 album. You are wrong.

I mean, if we're being honest Angels & Airwaves hasn't been great since the first album and Neighborhoods is arguably the worst blink record though.
