In all seriousness it's Make Believe but I got significantly more enjoyment out of the month I convinced myself it was good than I ever did out of Daisy or Adz despite it being a much much worse record than either of those.

It took me like 2-3 years to listen to him again after the show I saw on that tour, I hated it so much

Doubly weird because the Xmas and Carrie and Lowell tours after were two of my favorite shows I've ever seen.

 

I never understood the whole based thing. Like I honestly don't know what it means.

i saw the carrie and lowell tour, that was the best show i had ever seen

then i saw the festival set the year after where he did mostly age of adz stuff and did all 20+ minutes of impossible soul, now that is the best show i have ever seen

If you don't think that warrants someone calling the album overrated on here, I honestly don't know what to tell you.

 

Sufjan has gotten better with each record he has put out I think. Although it's tough to choose between Adz and C&L because they're just such different animals altogether

 

you can't call an album that is panned more often than it is praised overrated

 

dude is maybe the best musical mind of our generation

at the very least he's top 5, along with justin vernon, kanye, and i'm sure a few others

All sufjan is pretty equal to me though I would give an edge to Seven Swans over the rest and my feelings on adz are known.

seven swans live was great because he smashed the banjo he was playing it on right after and then it got weird

 

yup. that saturday was weaaaak except sujfan made it totally 100% worth it. definitely the best set i've ever seen
