Just watched Raw. That Cena promo was incredible. I wonder if this program could get a lot of the haters on his side.

 

I feel like pretty much any haters Cena has left are the kinds who are stuck in the mindset of "cool to boo". I don't get how you could like WWE and not Cena for the last few years, he's the poster boy for the formula done well

 

The worst part of that Roman promo is, with all of his push, they still gave him the same promo as everyone else. He's feuded with the same guys that Cena has in the last year or so (KO, AJ, etc). Let him cut a promo, not about "part-time" or "fake", but about ability.

Reigns could legitimately say that KO, AJ, etc carried Cena to big matches and he'd been phoning it in for years. While Reigns goes out and works his ass off in every match week in and out.

 

Well Roman is a heel so, they should be

 

When does Cena finally call out one of these "part timer" promos for what they are? He's part time, but he carried the company on his back for 10 years. Rock, Austin etc did so for 5 years a piece, being generous, and they always had each other to fall back on. There was no number two guy for Cena. There was a sea of number three guys. If anyone in the history of the company has earned a part time status, it's Cena, and he still pops up on every other house show near me.

 

He did some of that last night; the "only reason Im still here is because you cant do your job" line, for example

 

Yeah just watched that Cena promo and good Lord. Roman, forgetting your lines then proceeding to call Cena the fake one. Oof.

 

Cena murdering Reigns and Corbin within a couple weeks makes me deliriously happy

 

Dolph is next

 

Dolph is going to bury himself with this ridiculous repackage. Hopefully he doesn't try his comedy.

Based on what he teased last week, I'm not optimistic.

which was pre-"repackage" so i fail to see your point

 

I'm quite certain what we saw last week is what we are gonna get for now, a crybaby.

 

Ziggs is not good at comedy

The Reigns Cena promos were solid... Great build, but hey how about another tag match lol

 

Imagine that as Cena cuts his long speech, Roman says "fine speech", signs the contract, flips the table and attacks Cena. Neither has to break character, Roman doesnt have to get laid out verbally...

And they can do it. Braun looks like the biggest badass in the world because he barely talks and just goes out and annihilates people.

 

They have passed the point of no return with Roman though.

 

People said the same about Cena, but he stayed the course, improved, and now is beloved. The thing is, Cena was more entertaining at his worst than Reigns has been at his peak.

 

But Cena always had CHARISMA regardless. Roman doesn't. The mic skills are night and day. That's such a gigantic factor.

 

Oh, I totally agree. Cena even at his most hated was a draw. Reigns is not a draw. At least not in my market. Since the brand split, there have been four Smackdown house shows and zero Raw shows, and the last house show prior to that had Reigns/Sheamus in the main and was the most poorly attended WWE event I've ever been to.

 

Hmm after Brock and Cena, who draws best do you think?

 

Styles, Ambrose, Orton. I would say it's probably in that order, too. Just my scrub analysis judging by what's at the top of the card when live events come through NYC, etc

 

Yeah, based on crowd reaction in my area, thats a pretty good guess. Styles/Ambrose do pretty well...and I understand Orton even though he bores me.
