Science Fiction hasn't left my cd player in the car since it's release.

It has dominated my listening habits and I think I'm slowly coming around to it being my favorite record the band has ever released. I've already attached memories to it's songs, and the amount of times I'm smiling because I just can't believe we have new record from Brand New is something I won't get over.

I really enjoy this album, and I'm glad everyone else is too. The upcoming tour should be a special moment. Hearing some of these songs in the beautiful venues Brand New have chosen is going to be a treat.

Back on track: do you think Brian Lane has seen the Tick on Amazon yet?

 

I don't know but I haven't. Is it good? Also I love the randomness of this

 

i listened to Could Never Be Heaven immediately followed by Jason Isbell's If We Were Vampires. Don't do that. There's too many tears.

 

Do you like the Tick? Did you watch the cartoon growing up?

It's a lot more grown-up than the cartoon, but it's absolutely hilarious and only gets funnier as it goes on.

It's only six 30-minute episodes, so not much of a gamble trying it out.

 

I most certainly did watch it when I was a kid! That cartoon was hilarious

 

i thought i was dreaming when i saw the trailer for that last week i need to watch it. i loved the cartoon as a kid, the Tick and Freakazoid were hilarious

 

Then you should definitely check it out. The swearing was kind of jarring at first, but once I let this show stand on its own and stopped comparing it to the cartoon, I really enjoyed it and I'm craving new episodes. I watched it all in a day.

 

Y'all think James Vanderbeek has heard of Brand New?

Returning to this after a weekend of amazing new music.

This is a good album, might not make my top 10 but it's still great.

Well I enjoy it. Like for a bit I thought, "what connection is there between Brian Lane and The Tick..." then I just started wondering if he has seen it. And I'm still laughing about it
