We all know Panic At The Disco and Cobra Starship were emo pioneers that's literally fact like you literally can't debate that it's literally what happened like there's literally no way it's not true

"How does everything start and end?
Come gather now and lay this beast to rest"

"But, I'm... while I don't mind having all this going on inside of me. It's sort of... I think I'm going to be relived when it's over. When I can sort of settle back down"

"If it's breaking your heart, if nothing is fun
    Don't lose hope, my son
    This is the last one...
...Every night had you laid low
It's going to feel so good to let it go
It's all in your head, your race is run
Don't give up, my son, this is the last one
    This is the last one"

    "I can't say it enough
    Can't sing it enough
    So I'll find another way"

    "It's never going to stop
    Batter up
    Give me your best shot
    Batter up
    Never gets forgot
    Batter up"

"I am unsure what to do from moment to moment. My thoughts are scattered, always. When I see or hear recordings of myself being excited, I am embaraseed, and find myself false and unlikeable. I have realized over time that people close to me identify me as unreliable, and absent, and it is because in times when I am faced with a decision or responsibility that I am unable to shoulder, I isolate myself and ignore attempts at communication from others, instead of explaining my difficulties or asking for help. I am scared of implementing my ideas out of fear that in actuality they will not be perfect, and that they, and I, will subsequently receive harsh judgement. I have outbursts of rage and despair when I am alone. I am attepting to uncreate this reality. I am finding peace in commitment to others, and in hard work, and in the forgiveness that other people show me when they are faced with my faults. Where and when will I die? And then, what will I become? What are the strings that tie me to you, across unknown planes, made of? Or are there even strings? Or am I you? Are you, me?"

these all punch me in the gut and tell me that this band is done

Yes...but a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts

Honestly, the feeling of being able to do that to a thread of this volume must feel anarchically intoxicating lol

The rumor is that Geoff Rickly, Gerard Way, Bert McCrackin, Tim Kasher, Jesse Lacey, Jenny Lewis, Jim Adkins, and Adam Lazzarra started the United Emo Frontier and decided what emo music would be on that fateful night in 1998 NJ

NARRATOR: CoffeeEyes older brother was the bassist for a very bad emo band called Needle In The Haystack who were known to ripoff other acclaimed emo bands and attempt to cash in on it. They were eventually sued by famous emotional hardcore pioneer Ian MacKaye in what would eventually be called in the judicial system as the Rites To Sing. MacKaye lost the case because during the trial he realized all of the accusations he was hurling at Needle In The Haystack could easily apply to his bands. Needle In The Haystack subsequently broke up once they realized there was no profit to be made from winning the court case.
