I'm not a fan of the "O's" either. It made me wince the first time I heard it. Everything else is slammin' though.

 

Haha, I was actually thinking the same thing! When I was listening to it I was like "man, it's been like 13 years since I heard a new blink song" then I remembered that Neighborhoods and DED existed.

 

It's pretty good. I'm not the biggest Matt or Mark song but Mark definitely sounds better than he has for a while now.

With them bumping the release of the single, I wonder if that's going to throw off the album announcement/release, if it is indeed coming out this week, which I'm still not holding my breath on.

If the plan is to drop the album soon, my guess is that they'll announce it on the show tomorrow. Would let the station keep their exclusive, and let Blink take ownership of the story again.

It's just too crazy that they'll drop it completely out of the blue though, surely? When has this ever happened in our scene? I'm thinking Fall Out Boy a few years back, but even then PoZ got the scoop. And with a band as big as Blink?

 

Surely leaks expedite releases rather than delay them right? Like "let's get people to buy it before everyone gets it illegally".

Said it in the album thread, and sorry if this was already brought (did a lot of skimming over the last few pages... man this thread is blowing up), but why is everyone thinking the album might be released tomorrow? Like, if all of the stuff we got today was meant for tomorrow, wouldn't Friday make more sense?

The screenshot of the version of the site that was gonna go live tomorrow, supposedly with the announcement of the song, said "Listen to California now" or something to that extent with a big play button. Which would make me and obviously other people believe they might drop it tomorrow.

 

Wonder what Tom thinks he could have brought to the table on this tune...you know he's listening.
