I still can't believe how bad Paradise is

 

"Paradise" is not good but the rest of Milo Xyloto is solid - great imo

"Hurts Like Heaven" in particular is a top 5 song for them

Paradise is fine, I have no problems of it

I feel like a lot of Coldplay hate is just trying to look cool by eschewing popular music which actually isn't cool it's lame

 

All of Coldplay is good besides X&Y (which still has some good to great moments) and the last album

 

this is me, pretty much. A couple songs on X&Y are fine but this is pretty much where they started to lose me. And then Viva La Viva comes out and he's talkin about how he sued to rule the world while looking like a bull fighter and I was officially out haha

 

I consider myself a pretty big Coldplay fan. I still can't stand Paradise

 

Anyways, the point of my initial post wasn't to start a Coldplay hate train, but to highlight their older stuff and that specific performance in particular cause it's incredible

 

I really like a good chunk of all of their albums except for Rush of Blood which I find incredibly boring other than "The Scientist".

I just don't get that album for some reason, ha. I've tried it so many times and nothing works for me. "The Scientist" is top 5 Coldplay but I don't care about anything else on there at all. It's weird.

I think the title track on A Rush of Blood might be their best song ever, though We Never Change gives it a run for its money

 

Speaking in general it was definitely true

 

I think that might be my second favourite if I had one but yeah, I'd never choose to listen to that song or anything, it's not offensive but I don't particularly enjoy it.

 

The Scientist is definitely a top 5. We agree there

 

Fair enough. Tbh I don't listen to that album as much as their others, but it definitely wouldn't be my pick for their worst. I'd go with the new one (which I don't return to at all), or X&Y which has great stuff but is pretty overblown

 

I hate it but one time I made a joke that when he sings "open up your eyes" on Politik it sounds like he's saying, "open up your ass" and I can never un-hear it

 

Oh man, here's my Coldplay story. I've never actually listened to a full album, and I don't really enjoy too many of their singles, but the song Square One is legitimately one of my favorite songs ever. It's the last track on my sleep playlist, so I listen to it at least 3-4 time a week. I don't really even know how that came to be.
