Brand New should pull a John Malkovich and release preorders for an album that comes out in 2117 so we are able to continue our masochistic fandom until death, closure feels too peculiar.

 

the rhythm section really wows on the opener. less is more from the drumming contrasted with that hyperactive bass line.

 

I don't think it's beyond expectations to resurrect yourself from the grave to hear a new Brand New album.

 

At one point during my hardcore fan boy days in highschool I made an album to put on my iPod of all of the best Jesse live acoustic recordings I could find. I'd just like YouTube to MP3 those things and get it done. I kinda wish I still had it haha.


Accident Prone will always be the best Jesse cover ever. Period. The end. And the rip of it is such good quality for a live show. That same show he did that is where the live acoustic Jude Law is found - which version is also the best version of Jude Law, easily.

 

Just turned on Radio 104.5 (Philly alt rock station) and they were playing Can't Get It Out! Idk why it's so satisfying to hear songs you can listen to at will on the radio haha.

I like Can't Get It Out and I guess it's the most straightforward song but idk if it's single worthy...I asked them to play Waste or Same Logic or Lit Me Up haha

No doubt. Lit Me Up might actually be one of my favorite tracks on the record now. It's incredible there's just so many parts I enjoy way too much about it for it not to be considered a standout. But since it's so restrained and controlled it kind of goes under the radar and creeps up on you how good it is. Also the fact that it's the opener and sets the mood perfectly for the rest of the record, that gets me so excited.
