Why can't you just sim/play your game to push em through?

 

One request - can we make FA open after week 1 instead?

Seems crazy to do it tomorrow right after the McGregor fight. I'm likely out all day for a bbq and then meeting some friends to watch the fight. So I likely miss my 1 pickup and FA is going to be decimated by the time I get back late tomorrow

 

It starts tom at 12 pm est

Some league business here this morning for you all....

The Free Agent Draft will take place beginning Saturday morning (the day after the game is officially fully released). That allows a little time for you to pick up the game if you haven't already purchased it digitally or already have the GOAT edition.

The FA Draft will take place in THREE tiers which can be found below. Do not attempt to sign a FA until this process starts. Also, do not attempt to sign a FA until your team/tier is on the clock. If you are unable to make it to sign someone when your tier is open, you may then sign ONE FA when you are able but NOT until. Again, ONE free agent for this process per team.

Free Agency will open completely and totally at the opening of the regular season (i.e. when it advances to Week 1, you can sign to your hearts content).

In addition to this, ensure that your roster is cut down to the 53 player limit by 11:59PM EST on Saturday 8/26. The league will be advancing to Week 1 of the regular season immediately after the Mayweather-McGregor fight on Saturday Night. I set that time because I will be in front of my XBox and also because the FA Tiers and Cut Down period will have expired.

Failure to have your roster cut down to 53 will result in the CPU doing cuts for you and they may cut a player you want to keep...and NO, I will not be making exceptions (edit: RARE exceptions, you'd have to PM me to discuss) to allow you to re-sign them. Please make sure your roster is where it needs to be.

I think he's saying he won't be around at all tomorrow to make his one pickup. Which means he also won't be around immediately after the fight when it opens up completely. So by the time he gets on Sunday morning or afternoon only the scraps will remain

 

Right but my tier is at 6pm - I'll be out by then.

I realize it might just be a me problem but seems too quick to me. I think it makes more sense to have 1 pickup tomorrow and 1 pickup for week 1 - then open week 2

But I'll survive either way lol

Also, I doubt everyone will have the game and/or will have joined the league officially by Saturday at midnight. So advancing to week 1 at that time is going to cause problems with CPU cutting guys on their rosters.

 

I dunno how long you guys want to wait here....I'm trying to lift this thing and get it moving. If you guys all want to wait another week to ensure everybody has the game then we can do that.

It's an incentive to get the damn game on release day and sign up. We all knew it was coming out today for months. I'm not really sympathetic if you don't got the game by sat

 

I'm all for starting this weekend. I just foresee a few people having issues.

I made it clear that this year, the league is going to be a little more relaxed in terms of advances and working with peoples schedules within reason because life does happen but in this particular case of getting the league off the ground, there isn't much room for flexibility.

The league was created a week ago and was open to those who wished to pick up the game early through the EA Access or the GOAT edition and now the regular edition is out and I'm essentially allowing almost two full days for people to get out and pick it up and join the league before advancing to the regular season.

If you want to take part in Free Agency then you need to get it today but the fact of the matter is that free agency sucks for the most part and I don't think much there is REALLY going to affect your team in one way or another.

I'm assuming the last few are new guys, either way, starting it late Saturday shouldn't be an issue. I think we'll be fine.

 

Yup i haven't played my preseason game yet, i saw it and am obv accepting still! I will accept when i play my game or it advances so i can make the trade and actually have it go through

 

He'll be gone by the time you pick no matter what

 

Now if the league wished, I could shorten FA tier times and therefore extend the time you'd all have to set a practice squad before you make cuts but that's really it.
