I am a little confused on the process here for the next couple days and apologies if you have answered this but I have tried to look for the answer.

Do I have cut my team to 53 tonight before we sim tomorrow and then re add certain players for PS?

 

Want to trade me tankersley before you go?

Some league business here this morning for you all....

The Free Agent Draft will take place beginning Saturday morning (the day after the game is officially fully released). That allows a little time for you to pick up the game if you haven't already purchased it digitally or already have the GOAT edition.

The FA Draft will take place in THREE tiers which can be found below. Do not attempt to sign a FA until this process starts. Also, do not attempt to sign a FA until your team/tier is on the clock. If you are unable to make it to sign someone when your tier is open, you may then sign ONE FA when you are able but NOT until. Again, ONE free agent for this process per team.

Free Agency will open completely and totally at the opening of the regular season (i.e. when it advances to Week 1, you can sign to your hearts content).

In addition to this, ensure that your roster is cut down to the 53 player limit by 11:59PM EST on Saturday 8/26. The league will be advancing to Week 1 of the regular season immediately after the Mayweather-McGregor fight on Saturday Night. I set that time because I will be in front of my XBox and also because the FA Tiers and Cut Down period will have expired.

Failure to have your roster cut down to 53 will result in the CPU doing cuts for you and they may cut a player you want to keep...and NO, I will not be making exceptions (edit: RARE exceptions, you'd have to PM me to discuss) to allow you to re-sign them. Please make sure your roster is where it needs to be.

Do we have a discord/slack? Feel like that'd be helpful for League wide posts... this thread can be a bit hard to follow when its 90% trade talks.

Apparently I have to cut 18 players. Feels weird

 

I love discord. It's what my friends use every night to game, switching from Skype.

Downside is that idk how savvy some of these cats are in this site, some thought the site change from ap to chorus was like too drastic to navigate.

Groupme/slack would probably be better since I know some probably navigate 90%+ of their time on a smartphone. Would be good for the guys that aren't 100% thread active to get push notifications when they get @'d.

No doubt there. Been easier than I thought.

Unfortunately this weekend am I away so I can't replace any turds with slightly more shiny turds.

 

Group me sucks, discord is cool, but I think right here is best. I kinda enjoy taking 5 minutes out of the day randomly and scrolling through each page to see what trades went down and if there's anyone I can snatch up.

 

Just want to give you a heads up. I was supposed to get back to Houston Saturday but hurricane Harvey might be shutting down the Houston airport. I'll keep in touch and let you know when I'll be back/if I'll just be giving you CPU

Nope. We have to wait until we complete the FA draft before we can advance. Reason being is if I advance now, the CPU teams are going to sign a shitload of free agents and then we have to go through and join the league one by one to cut them all. ATL already did that a few days ago when we advanced and I doubt he wants to do that again.

I'm going to advance to the next week after the FA draft tomorrow and allow a bit for those who wish to set up a practice squad, to do so...not sure why anybody gives a shit about it but I will give an opportunity for it.
