Thoughts on Hush? I loved Oculus.

Also really frustrated I can't watch The Green Room yet. I check my local theater listings constantly.

 

I watched Hush and didn't like it. It was kinda boring. It had it's intense parts but idk the whole idea kinda felt sloppy and forced.

 

Karyn Kusama is going to be attending screenings of The Invitation tomorrow and Sunday in St. Louis. I might go, had no idea that she was from here.

 

hush was fine. but i completely relate to the frustration of not being able to see green room.

 

I've heard crazy things about The Green Room, no signs of it coming to my theater yet but I'm staying optimistic

 

delighted that i'll be seeing Hausu this coming Friday at the theater. what a dream.

 

Looks like I am going to the screening of The Invitation tonight, stoked.

 

I've been watching horror movies for years but sometimes I feel like my taste is pretty uncultured. I just rewatched House of Wax (2005 one) for the first time since I was like 10, and I loved it. Even with that early 2000s alt metal soundtrack.

 

Still worth watching for that Paris Hiltion death scene.

 

omg House of Wax was such a goofy movie. shame because the wax scenes were actually pretty creepy

 

lol I feel similarly. I just saw the ring v the grudge trailer and i was like yeeees right up my alley! I like House of Wax a lot

 

Gameplay footage of Outlast II has come out, looks really good.

 

I'm a One Tree Hill fan so obv I love Chad Michael Murray being in it and I'm a big Elisha Cuthbert fan as well. I think the whole climax was done really well and the whole wax town was really really cool

 

When that chunk of skin falls off Jared's face and his eyeball looks around, that is just good television

 

even though it's like not a "good" movie imo i would absolutely watch more horror flicks with the classic teen set up, super early 2000s metal and pop punk soundtrack (Helena in the credits? yes i will thank u), and just general schlocky fun of House of Wax

 

Yeah I love that set up. I know it's a tired cliche now but those movies are so easy to watch and usually a lot of fun as long as they don't take themselves to seriously.

 

To add to the convo I'm a big fan of Jason X, and for all the wrong reasons.

 

Saw The Invitation, what a intense movie. Loved it! Best part, I got to tell Karyn Kusama personally how much I enjoyed it.

 

Sounds like it's getting a wide release this friday

 

Does Condemned have a plot or is this movie literally just an hour and a half of people doing things with grimy body fluids

 

Just watched Baskin and really don't know what to think. I had a hard time getting over the fact that I couldn't figure out what was going on.

Luckily my rental expires tomorrow night so I should be able to watch it a second time and form a more concrete opinion

 

hated Baskin

Well no surprise here but I adored Krampus. I was really worried in the last like 10 minutes they were going to fuck up the ending BAD but the snow globe scene was a perfect way to end it. The sound design was incredible, I feel like I could just listen to it and be happy. Allison Tolman is the best.

There's an alternate ending on the Blu Ray and it's the exact same ending except it cuts out early. Gave me a pretty good laugh they called it an "alternate ending"

Oh and Mr Jackson...(this isn't King's best book)

 

This is one of the best King books IMO. VERY excited for this movie.
