My favorite moment on the album probably. low Jesse harmonizing with high Jesse sounds so perfect. And the instrumentals are gorgeous

 

damn, okay, missed the boat on the whale talk. definitely cool, i'd just really gotten attached to what I thought that passage said apparently

the animorphs tv pilot is one of the most beautifully awful things i've ever seen

A lot of these would be in my fav brand new songs for sure, but we were doing top 15 albums of all time! :p

 

Tobias was a Hawk. And he was hella annoying.

 

I know this was the equivalent of years ago in this thread (my excuse is i'm at work, sue me - nobody actually sue me, please) but I can't not say that I recently got into The Weakerthans and was lamenting the fact that I'd never seen them (*missed the boat by modest mouse plays softly in the background*), so I was terribly excited to learn John K. is touring UNTIL I found out that I can't go to his date in my city because I already have concert tickets for that night. I guess I'll spend the rest of forever playing Live at Burton Cummings... Sigh.

 

i think i listen to that live album more than any other weakerthans release at this point. just so amazing.

the week the weakerthans FINALLY hit me was the week they announced they officially broke up. still fingers crossed for a reunion tour (ayyyyyy pun intended) in the next few years or so

 

i was going to put on science fiction next but change of plans, weakerthans it is

 

Fuck there was too much for me to keep up with/catch up on so I just assumed that's what was happening. Hahahah

 

Oh, wonderful, I'm not alone then. For the record, I'm camp "Left & Leaving," because it's one of those albums for me that spookily articulates things in my head better than I ever could, BUT I also love "Reconstruction Site" (and would probably love it best if it weren't for L&L being so personal to me). All of that said, the live album is the perfect amalgamation of tracks from both and everything is in the best order possible. I've never been so pleased by a live album.

This is my personal request that you be sure to do whatever you have to - PM me, send up a flare, whatever and I don't care how far into the future this is - if they announce that reunion tour because if I miss it I will never forgive myself (and now you).
