I think the new Brand New is the first album by them I actually like all the way through.

 

Never even listened to 3EB, at least not that I know of

 

I need more Mr. Bungle in my life :(

 

Y'all don't have to like Brand New, but the comparison is definitely wrong.

 

And when it comes to Kendrick, I think we who posted about it are all on the same page, but I guess I just feel there's a lot of hyperbole surrounding Damn. which is interesting to me because I don't think it's nearly as good as TPAB.

 

I think damn is the only Kendrick album with songs I just don't like on it

 

I'm am still puzzled by the amount of people who love 3EB. They always just came off as a 2-3 single generic 90's band to me.

 

I hate when I'm listening to that album and Lust ends (one of my favorites) and Love starts (definitely one of my least favorites). It hurts my brain.

 

Dunno if this belongs here, but why is Billy Corgan an awful human being apparently? Some angry kids in the Brand New thread said this a few days ago and I'm curious to know what he did, or if they're just especially angry idk

 

To be honest, and I apologize if I'm coming off as a dick, but I didn't realize so many people listened to them unironically. Lol were they the band who played for Trump's inauguration or am I thinking of someone else?

 

P sure he's like anti vacination, pro Alex Jones/Chem trail theorist, and some other weird stuff. I dunno enough to classify him as horrible, I do think he might be a little cray cray lol

I think Third Eye Blind was the one that played a Republican event, talked shit to them the entire time, and played none of their well known songs.

Speaking of 3EB though, their first record is a 90s classic and everything outside of Semi Charmed Life and Jumper is worth checking out

 

3eb is one of my favorite bands. Fantastic live too. Their best song is either god of wine or blinded, if yr interested

 

I like one 3EB album (the first one). That's more than the 0 BN albums I like

 

Motorcycle Drive By and Crystal Baller are my favorites.

 

Come to think of it.. I think I've only actually heard the first 3EB album.

Oh wow that is pretty bad, but also seems to be standard amongst a lot of older eccentric rock musicians haha

 

For the record, I hate Brand New's first record, I think Deja is only okay and has a lot of hyperbole surrounding it, but TDAG onward are what allow me to classify them as one of my favorite bands. So, I'm not like a crazy fanboy, I just think the comparison is a little silly cause they really are nothing alike.

 

I do not like them at all but I agree that it's a bad comparison
