I understand value in terms of looking down the line, although I do not understand how regression works on this game. I am overly cautious b/c I have no experience with Franchise mode past 2009. I have been strictly h2h in Madden since 2010 and haven't played a franchise type mode since NCAA 08's online Dynasty. I am wholly unfamiliar with the tendencies regarding what attributes are cheap, how long xp typically takes for varying positions, etc.

So for this season at least, established players are worth more to me than the "surefire" prospect. That is why Yanda is worth more than a 2nd rd pick to me. I haven't drafted a player in Madden since 08; I am not confident I will strike gold with any draft picks.

 

I think I'd be interested in the Hitchens side of things....

 

I need you to select either the 2018 5th round pick or 2019 4th round pick and which CB would you like or both?

the 2018 1st and 2019 1st are locked in but need those selections before approval

Basically 30 years of age is when guys start dying on you. The physical traits start going then. It hurts CB/WR/RBs more than anyone.

 

gotcha. you were correct. right now jim smith is better than eli. but in the terms of raw abilities/age/contract/he is better than jim.

In past maddens once a player hits 30 he will start regressing pretty hard. somewhere in the range of 2-3 points off his spd and acc. sometimes you see the same with their str in defensive players/lineman

OL doesn't regress bad but they retire early. Skill guys get worthless real fast. 31 is usually the cutoff age.

Yeah, Yanda is still holding strong at 32, but it's Yanda. If I can keep him for three seasons, I will be over the fucking moon.

 

I don't think too far at all....two things

1) I need to look at my cap hit on moving Dez tonight as well as just look at all of the players a bit more
2) I would like to field offers for him since he's a big piece and I just made him available but your offer is far and away the best one to date.

 

You guys were worried about Kevin giving up all those picks and he's about to acquire them all back and then some for a rookie corner? God damn lol....and they will likely be better picks than his will be.

 

Correct. You should be able to move practice squad eligible guys to that list instead of having to cut them.
