That was a cool song. I liked it. Some really good lyrics, as well as some of Mark's more vivid/kind of nonsensical imagery lyrics, which can be hit or miss for me. Not sure how I feel about the outro, think it should have just blasted out of that last chorus rather than go quiet and build up, but whatever. It's cool. Sounds really good too, sonically. Hook feels bigger than most of what I can remember from Neighborhoods and DED.

I actually liked that a lot, it was about what I expected. I had a feeling that Feldmann's influence would be far more prevelant than Skiba's in some instances, and this single is definitely that. Part of his poppy production is the simplicity of the drums, and I feel like the fact that Travis wasn't going absolutely apeshit and doing whatever he wanted (like usual) is evidence of Feldmann's influence.

That said, the song was super catchy. It sounded much more modern than anything on Neighborhoods or Dogs Eating Dogs. The hook and production actually seems closer to Yellowcard or something rather than old-school blink, but I'm just happy to hear something from them that doesn't sound lifeless. Mark actually sang with some personality again!

I totally get you on the hit or miss when it comes to Mark's lyrics. But part of what makes Mark's lyrics work for me is knowing how silly he is as a person. So it just makes sense to me.

 

Pretty good. Drumming is excellent as usual.

 

And speaking of Bethlehem.....

Cool verse, sounds like a band inspired by blink wrote that chorus after the pop punk fad had fizzled out. Pretty bad regression from the sound of untitled. Hope this isn't telling of the record

Happy people here like it... but I couldn't get into it at all. It just feels so bland and barely sounds like blink to me.
