Thats the thing though you gotta seperate between objectivity and subjectivity. Like just because something is your favorite, doesn't make it the best and vice versa.

Like The Beatles Abbey Road, White Album etc are some of the objectively best albums ever made. I have no problem saying they are probably better than my favorite Brand New records, or that Fleetwood Mac's Rumours is one of the objectively best albums of all time, while SUBJECTIVELY Brand New's TDAG is my #1 favorite album.

 

I got called a hipster because I had the hot take that Limousine and You Won't Know were good songs.

i am not doing a band draft we just did a slack band draft recently and no i am not doing one

 

Looks like it yeah. Though I'm still not convinced the limited vinyl is out of 5000. We will see.but yeah I'm hoping the limited vinyl is similar to the Manchester Orchestra photo book they released for ABMTTS.

Yeah I'd be happy with that as well, maybe with some recording notes or somethjng. I'd love a make of hour DVD or something but we all know that would never happen.


I know it's a really petty thing but I just don't like the idea that 500 of the preorder people got something that the others didn't get. Plus the fact that it's been valued at $400 makes it sting. If it turns out everyone gets the same thing, it just took longer I'd be fine with that.

Anyone remember Knife Party?

 

I mean it's hard for me to say cthatnit is objectively better than some of what is commonly and widely considered best albums of all time. Do I love it? Yes. Is it my personal favorite? Hell yes

 

I like this album better now than I did last week.

Also immediately after this, Nothing Compares 2 U plays and I gotta say, solid closer to the album

 

Remember the last few hours of AP where everyone was confessing their AP secrets?? And the website was just complete anarchy.


That memory gives me goosebumps.

 

I think I posted more in this thread than my time on AP altogether
