When I was 8 I think I was really vibing on Backstreet Boys, but my older, cooler brother was heavily into early and midwest emo. So while I was enjoying the hell out of Backstreet Boys, I was also getting a good dose of Sunny Day, Boys Life, JEW, Christie Front Drive, Rainer Maria and what would become my first favorite band, The Get Up Kids.

 

It seems to be completely random. A lot of people are still getting CDs, many of whom who have already gotten one ordered a couple hours after it crash a few times.

 

Haha. At that age though I feel like it's all just about what the people in your life older than you are listening to. Luckily for me it was brand new and JEW haha

 

Ok cool! I still get my hopes up every day after work hahah, hoping for the best

For sure! Im not hating on them. In 95 when I was 8 that's what we listened to, what was on the radio. I wonder what it would be like to be 8 when Deja came out lol.

My first experience with BN was when I was heading to the beach with my buddy for spring break. He had YFW in the CD player. I remember telling him that I was turning this shit off to show him the new Death Cab. (The Photo Album)

Who knew I would end up feeling pretty meh about Death Cab, and loving Brand New.
