Absolutely love the A Moon Shaped Pool comparison. Was just thinking that the other day while listening. The acoustic guitars and "quietness" of everything.

This is a big moment for me.

 

I just bought it on itunes and might even buy it on bandcamp too while i'm at it. I want this to be #1 it deserves it so much.

It should be rated even higher but its pitchfork at least it's bnm

 

It's weird to me that Ian Cohen thinks "Me vs. Maradonna vs. Elvis" is autobiographical

 

I do care about this only because like it or not BNM can be big for a band. Does BN care? Probably not. But I root for them because I like their music so critical success is good to see because of what it leads to for the band creating the music. Hopefully more people hear this album because of it.

 

The infiltration was a success. Jason you can change the name back to absolutepunk now.

when i wrote reviews i put about half a second of thought into the score. stop focusing on a number.

Reading that last paragraph gave me chills. Great review, very happy for the band great things are happening.

Seriously though. As much as a good review doesn't mean anything to my personal relationship with the band, it'll definitely help this album pick up some more listeners. Excited that this album's wonderful reception so far might help spark a wider critical reevaluation of my favorite band.

8.3 isn't the best score but still holy shit what a moment for this band. If more reviews like this flow in then no one will hopefully give a shit about Melonhead. Yes please
