Wait, people don't like Handcuffs?

That's a great song to me. Sure the lyrics could be better but it's still a fun song. One of the weaker songs on TDAG but still great.

I'm in the weird camp that they didn't release a bad song until Daisy though......

 

That album would have been even more incredible with that closing it out. WHY DIDNT THAT HAPPEN!

This entire song makes me think it's about video games every time I listen.

 

I remember trying to convince people that Handcuffs was "deep" turns out I had no idea what Vin was trying to say, but wanted to like it so I claimed it was "deep".

 

I prefer to Brothers to Coca Cola.

 

Magazines, Failure by Design, Moshi Moshi, My 9 Rides Shotgun ...

 

"Brothers" is a great song, but I don't think would have worked as well as a closer.

Limousine is a fantastic song. I will always think that.

I think it's just a testament to how many amazing songs Brand New has that it's not one of my favorites.

 

Flying At Tree Level is still one of my favorite brand new tracks. Top 5.

 

Sudden Death in Carolina should be included in that list, IMO

Sudden Death is one of the better songs on YFW

 

My 9 Rides Shotgun is a truly awful song. It's between that and Mix Tape as their two worst

 

I used to not like Sudden Death, save for the riff, but seeing it live changed that. How Last Chance hasn't been mentioned is surprising.

You guys already know my opinion on YFW so I won't regurgitate it but I'm 100% dead serious when I say they released no bad songs until Daisy. And if you think that's crazy, lost of bands and artists release 0 bad songs over a multiple album span.

 

Not always. On this album, yes.

 

That intro riff is so fun though.

That's not how it works. Unless you change definitions to fit what you want. In that case there's no point in discussing things.

I agree they are the centerpiece... But the climax is Archers.
