Hey, I know I'm like ten pages late, but we were talking about Canada/Canadians a few pages back and I thought I'd share that I used to think "cuck" was a slang word for Canadians. I seriously thought it was weird that the go-to insult of the alt-right was to call someone a Canadian. Sorry @DejaMoi and @KennedyBN .

But seriously who really knows. This album would be a perfect way to go out and ride off into the sunset. But don't get me wrong I would welcome anything else of course. Who knew they would release something this good this late in their career. Unbelievable.

Speaking of songs people want to hear live, I recently moved to Idaho so I was looking up the setlist from when BN was here last year. It was the tour where they said "this isn't our last tour but we probably aren't coming to these places again." Anyways The setlist of the show here was like 4-5 songs then DAG in its entirety. I found that to be kind of strange if you're never playing places again why you'd play a full album and not a career encompassing set though that is the BN way I guess.

 

It was announced before hand that it was a 10 year devil and god tour..

I only listened to this once yesterday, partially because I played it so much over the weekend, partially because I'm re-hooked on the entire discography now, and partially because I was busier than usual yesterday. This will be in constant rotation for the foreseeable future.

 

To be fair, I was pretty convinced we weren't going to get another album. Obviously we knew there were new songs, but time and time again there would be new album hype/rumors/whatever only for there to be a let down in the end. I'm just happy we got a new album, and obviously its a bonus that it's a fucking masterpiece.

 

was it? I vaguely remember that but I also wasn't in any of the markets it was going and had seen them with Modest Mouse that year so I didn't give it much thought. Still find it kind of odd that they did a 10 year album tour but in places they were playing for the last time. I'm sure it was discussed when it happened still kind of odd and also a BN thing to do

 

Exactly after Mene which was fine and IAAN only ok its that much more amazing to me. I can't believe this is what we got. Wow. Well said at the end there couldnt of said it any better myself.

It wasn't announced beforehand. I bought tickets for the Maine show and then a couple weeks later they posted that thing saying they weren't putting out an album in 2016 and were going to play TDAG on fall 2016 tour. Obviously was a neat surprise, but it was definitely weird that they announced it after the fact.

 

I believe the term you are thinking of is "canuck". Hope this helps.

Poor choice of words, but what I meant is that most people who aren't generally huge fans of alt rock would call Nirvana their favorite grunge band while those more into the genre would choose one of Pearl Jam / Alice / Soundgarden
