Me and my gf of almost 3 years officially broke up yesterday I think. I told her I can't do it anymore because I'm constantly battling how I feel about her. She was one of my best friends and now she has to go.

I just sometimes couldn't see myself with her forever so I ended it.

This was also my first relationship so who knows what I'll learn in the future.

I'm just sad because now I'm doubting I made the right decision and I still wanna be friends :/

 

Stay strong. That's a very hard thing to do, but it sounds like deep down you know you made the right decision.

I absolutely know what you mean. I just went through the same thing a month ago. It's hard NOT to feel that way, because you cared about her. What you gotta realize too is that really, you don't need ANYONE else to be happy. Just roll with that, and someone else will come along eventually.
