Nutshell makes me want to kill myself

in a good way, of course. City and Colour's version is also good

 

"Yeah I burn like a witch in a Puritan town" has to be my favorite lyric in this album. I dunno why. There's tons of great stuff in this album. But just stands out to me.

Anyone have a fave lyric already?

What's the content?

 

I usually listen to albums on shuffle after so long so it feels fresh but this is one of the few where I can’t. Shuffle just doesn’t do it justice. It needs to played in order.

It being about a combination of self harm, being trapped in a cycle of self destructive decisions because you've deluded yourself into thinking youre right to do so, as well as the very real life circumstances that sometimes seem to reinforce that line of thinking, even if they're coincidental and outside your control. And some other stuff that I'll probably discover the more time I spend with this

 

It's definitely out there.

I've still only listened to this maybe 6 times all the way through. Been trying to listen to it more but I haven't had very much time and I'm trying not to overplay too much in the first week.
