damn im the only one not feeling in the water apparently.

451, 137, no control, batter up are top tier bn tracks for me atm.

 

The clips of people talking and especially laughing like a crazy person in the distance creep me the fuck out.

 

Lit me up, can't get it out, & same logic are probs my top 3. But I love all the songs a lot. This record easily surpassed my expectations. Thought brand new would only be remembered by 2 great records.

 

Me too, the beginning of Lit Me Up is really creepy!

 

i described Manchester's The Wolf in a similar way.

 

The clips (especially in the beginning) really set the tone for the record. i think it puts you in the mindset brand new wanted you to be in when listening.

"In The Water" feels like a refinement of "Bed" with those pitch harmonics.

The more I listen to this the more I'm kind of...flummoxed by No Control. Every other track stands out for some reason, but that one's kind of just there. Every time I listen to it, I get more annoyed at it for being a mediocre song in an otherwise stunning album.

 

P much. It's very ok.

that's just what they call their "review" section on stereogum for albums that aren't designated "Album of the Week." They've been doing it that way for years, name kinda comes from the leak era

So next solar eclipse 2024 = next Brand New record right. Makes sense to me.

 

My girlfriend were going to fly out from Idaho to see this show until we found out that for whatever reason hotels for that weekend are like twice as expensive than the other weekends in SF for some reason
