Haha, whoops. But yeah, I will. Maybe if they had promotional singles that would've helped me digest the songs easier. If I was driving with the record it'd probably just play through without any songs sticking in my head, minus Can't Get it Out (atm). Mene and I Am a Nightmare didn't do much for me but personally they would've definitely been favorable on this record.

Sure I'll be in the minority on this, but "Same Logic" is easily my least favorite track. Think "Can't Get It Out" is officially my #1.

Is it keys or an organ? My Alkaline Trio ears say it sounds like an organ haha

As much as I love Batter Up, I feel Waste would have been a more poignant closing song.

OK, Apple Music is currently telling me on my work computer "Looks like "Same Logic/Teeth" is no longer available."

    WHAT IS THIS DARK MAGIC.

Yes...but a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts

Where else would you put Batter Up in the track listing?

That loneliness is not a function of solitude.

Album is finally up on Spotify in case there are any human beings other than me who were still waiting on that lol

glad the keys have made such a triumphant return. i love how an organ can help add to the creepy atmosphere of a song.

Same Logic sounds like a song from Pneuma, maybe it's just the brass though.

A few days into this now - what are people thinking?

Part of me is wondering if I'm going to get bored of it quickly, or whether I'll get more into it. Weirdly my favourite part on the album is what I assume is called Teeth. Wish it was longer haha.

    Someday I’ll find me Prestigious

    I'm settling into it now.

The hype is fading into genuine appreciation of the album on a broader scale. Now that I'm not surprised by the sound, my appreciation can grow.

But I'm only on the 7th full spin. Album has a while to go before I can step back and give a better gauge of where it'll sit with me long term. For now, I can only say that it seems to be heading into an album I'll love for the rest of my life.

I think SF, TDAG, and Daisy are their best records. Deja probably had the biggest impact on me as it came out my junior year of high school, but it hasn't aged well for me personally, same goes for YFW which was a gateway record for me. I find myself never really wanting to revisit them, but I do give it (Deja) a nod for how much I loved it at the time.

I just got done listening through Deja, and while I know there was a Deja conversation yesterday that I don't necessarily want to relitigate, I'll say that I really still love it and I think that's only like, 25% nostalgia talking.

Yea Deja was a game changer at the time. I was blown away, and it's the record that started this rabid fan base. I go back and it listens more like a document of my youth than a record I actually want to listen to aside from a few tracks. TDAG onward feels more like the band being the band thy want to be.
