Deja remains my "Dude Ranch" for this band. Got into them through YFW and Deja just blew me away in terms of the shit the genre can evolve into. Really a special album. I'd say it's my favorite by them. TDAG needed to live up to unbelievable hype and absolutely did, IMO their "best" release, but I still find myself returning to Deja songs the most. Except the Demos. The demos remain the best.

This is a good album. I'm way more into it than I thought I'd be into a new Brand New album in 2017. There are parts that definitely surprise me in a good way and parts that I itch to return to. I haven't listened to much since it dropped. With that being said, a section of the record isn't doing too much for me and parts blend together. I need to sit with the lyrics more and listen to the songs on shuffle to be able to identify/speak about them individually more. The chorus of In the Water is a huge highlight for me

Been at the cottage listening to SF x2 then TDAG then Daisy then SF again and now A Black Mile is so fucking perfect I thought 2016 was a good year and then 2017 came along and said hold my drink. Cheers to you all Chorus community.

You've been here two days, shut up and focus on your own shit lol.

  8. I haven't followed the last how many pages so this may not be the popular opinion, but I would rank this below Deja, Devil, and Daisy. And that's not taking anything away from SF, I like it a lot, but I'm preferring the others.

Come now, the only people who would frequent that site are people who honestly think Magazines or Moshi Moshi are truly better than a song like Bought A Bride or Noro. Absolutely baffles me.

I honestly don't know where the general opinion of Deja being a sub par album came from. YFW I completely understand, but Deja is well written, mature and has some of the better melodies the scene has had this side of SWYA

I love the album but my favorite so far is probably the last 2 minutes of 137. Though I must say every listen through each time a new song starts I'm like "oh yeah I really love this one"

I think it's basically people who loved bands like Dashboard Confessional and of course loved Deja Entendu too when they were like 15 but then somewhere along the line decided Amnesiac by Radiohead is the best album ever so anything resembling actual enjoyable music is unacceptable haha

Cue people hating me for thinking that album is awful.
