For me this year has been golden. Brand New, Menzingers, Manchester Orchestra, Japandroids, Liam Gallagher, Hot Water Music, The Xcerts, The Bronx, Flatliners, Cloud Nothings, Nothington. Incredible releases and some of those are still to come!

I have no idea how I missed that there's new HWM this year, but you just made my day.

It's been taken off Spotify in the UK now. Slightly annoying having to switch apps to listen to it because Local files to work on Spotify are awful.

The individual tracks are still playing. I think it's probably got something to do with the album not linking to their profile? Trying to resolve that I imagine.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lit Me Up, Same Logic, and 137 keep knocking me out. What an incredible record.

"How did you get the gold without digging any holes" is such a clever lyric. In The Water is so goooood.

Are you sure? I took "ring and run" to be ringing their doorbells and running. Hence the next line being about people coming outside of their bunkers and looking around.

Yes...but a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts

Yeah, that seems to come with age. I enjoy the act of simple appreciation now in favor of pitting album releases against each other. Thinking about your internal motives, and why you're dissecting what part, can be more fun and unveiling.

I waited 8 years for Science Fiction. My 2-day-old daughter waited 1-hour. Needless to say, we've been listening to this album nonstop in the hospital!

The Fall Out Boy comparisons on 451 finally clicked with me. Like, I knew that it sounded a tad like Folie a Deux, but now I know why. It's like West Coast Smoker's southern, older brother LOL

The National's new album is likely to be my AOTY but this could beat it which I didn't really anticipate.

My girlfriend knows how much I love Brand New, her being a fan that borders between casual and obsessed (more on the casual side), and she says she wants to wait for her first listen to be with me. I'm so pumped for the next time she comes over

Probably spoken about already. Is "seven years" a reference to the fact they actually thought this was coming out last year and the gap between LP's or possibly a reference to the "seven" years in Limousine?

All the spoken parts and especially the eeriness of Lit Me Up reminds me a lot of The Holy Bible by Manic Street Preachers. Which is an incredible LP too.
