Yeah it's really weird. I only thought to search for the album name because the same thing happened to another album a while ago. Very glad that I thought of it haha

 

Yep I had my copy downloaded to my phone from my pre order download but just removed that and saved the stream version instead now.

 

The songs don't show up when you search for the album in the US. I hope within a couple days it's up for good with no problems.

 

It's not like I need it up since I already have the songs on my phone but I would like to use songs for playlists and such as I only have a few artists on my actual phone since I had to buy a new SD card (old one crashed)


And I want the rest of the world to hear this masterpiece

I think Lit Me Up is my favourite opening track of any BN album.

 

Can confirm, I'm in the U.S. I have Apple Music, but my gf has Spotify and only one of us has the album streaming on their phone at the moment.

 

The album is on Spotify, just not on their page yet. Search 'Brand New Science Fiction'. I just downloaded it. Can finally listen.

I'm hoping that it is random and that I may get one too. I'm in the UK also, just have to play the waiting game. I think they wouldn't bother sending them to the UK though. Costs more haha

What an album. I love the span of influences that are on this. In The Water is one of my favourites, to me it sounds like some amalgamation of The Waterboys and Pearl Jam, with some Maggie May thrown in for good measure. 451 really threw me off, this could be a single and it will absolutely kill live (shame I'll only ever get to see it once). 137, Waste, Lit Me Up all immense songs too.
It's too early to see where this album stands for me, I can see it as my favourite Brand New album at least, maybe even AOTY. There is a slight bias on my half as this is the first album that has been released since I became a fan and I Iove getting overexcited. The lyrics are Jesse's best to date, the Nagasaki line just had me grinning when I first heard it, it's so dark but I love it. A small part of me thinks this isn't the end but Batter Up sounds so conclusive, I was waiting for it to explode into noise but it just doesn't happen. It sounds like the end which is a shame but what a legacy this band has left.

Can't Get It Out, Same Logic/Teeth, 137, Out Of Mana, Desert and 451 are my favourites so far. Definitely wish there was a few more raucous/fast moments but this is fantastic.

 

I can't wait to sing Can't Get It Out in November. I would be entirely happy with them playing the entire album from start to finish. I've heard the other songs enough times over the years.

 

That tour was the first time I saw them live. Still one of the best shows I've ever been to
