Duke Riley is a 3rd round rookie with normal development trait. I'm just not sure how that's worth two firsts.

It's just draft picks...they're not even guaranteed players

 

Here's how I see it: I'm cool with you making whatever kind of deal you want because your picks are going to be late anyway, but it creates unbalance for the other dude because he'll have three firsts to move around with people that actually value the draft/picks.

It's about the balance of it all.

 

Normally I would say FUCK that trade to the seventh layer of the earth but I'm going to approve it for two reasons

1) As stated, Kevin has been here long enough and he has never put too much value into draft picks so this isn't shocking to me. He's been here long enough that if he wants to overpay out the ass for a guy, I'm okay with it. If the roles were reversed and he was the one getting two firsts for a sub-average linebacker, I'd be traveling through the air like Michael Jordon's one handed dunk from the free throw line straight into the dumpster.

2) I just looked at the LB he'd be getting and he's young and for now, very average but he's already VERY good in not only zone coverage but also man coverage so within one season, I think Kevin will very likely have him built into a machine that you have to pick top 5 in the draft to obtain---something he will never do since he's always one of the last teams standing.

This goes for any of the long time vets here, if you want to overpay out the ass for someone, I'm probably going to approve it this year. Granted, I don't think many out there will want to do this because most of us enjoy the draft process.

At any rate, I'm going to approve it. He's giving up a lot but he's also going to shit on the league with this LB who will be god mode by the start of season two.
