Just me or does "In the Water" resemble The Wallflowers at times? The chorus and the solo, namely.

You're probably reading too far into it, BUT the first thing I thought when I initially heard "Lit Me Up" was that it kinda sounded like a super dark take on a Thrice Water-style song. Same Rhodes-kind of keyboard.

It's a great song. I really don't think there's a bad song or even just a good song on this record.

I've been listening to the coordinate one track rip from yesterday, which was FLAC that I converted to ALAC. I didn't this all at work yesterday, as I don't have a PC at home, And haven't been back to my work PC to get my preorder files since the album officially dropped.

 

This has to have the least amount of Jesse shout/screams of any Brand New record.
