I dive into the album thread for the first time. Already 107 pages. Straight to back page. This is the first comment I see. Now logging out until me hard copy arrives by post, which since I'm in Australia could be THREE WEEKS AWAY. Already too hype haha

Maybe it's because I never grew out of Pop Punk and it's still a top 3 genre to me that I still enjoy Your Favorite Weapon so much even to this day. I personally think the songs aged well.

 

I feel like I gotta just say it but I'm on my 4th time through jamming this artistic masterpiece. This is unbelievable the sounds I'm hearing and the emotion rolling through my body I am in just complete awe. I mean talk about a moment.

I met Jesse once after a Kevin Devine set at Looney Tunes on Long Island. He wasn't super excited to hear that I was 4 years old when YFW came out

 

Did we ever figure out who they are sending he CDs to? I feel after the first couple on Reddit nothing else came of that. Surprised there is no one on here that claimed to have one.

Idk if this has already been discussed, but in terms of album sales, how does this work? Do all of the pre-orders from that limited vinyl count towards this?

I always thought that when they released a new album it would sell really well, so I'm interested to see how this roll-out goes

 

And if I'm a CD guy it looks like I get the DL also.

if they were originally going to release this it would have been 7 years since daisy was released

or

the girl that limousine was written about was 7 years old when she was killed

or

"same logic/teeth" blows me away every time

Not enough talk about this one imo. Some great lyrics that sound like Jesse coming to terms with a lot of the past

 

If the vinyl preorders count, which they probably do- then they already made 5000 sales. Now, if the digital download included ALSO counts (which it frequently does), then it's already 10k first week

 

Hmm...Out of Mana is the first one that's not hooking me in right away. Might need to spend more time with this one. I enjoyed the 2nd half of hte song and the little outro especially, but the first couple verse/choruses didn't get me

 

Waste is my favorite for sure

 

Lol In the Water intro made me think "Jeremy"

 

the only song i'm not thrilled about is "waste" tbh something about the chorus bugs me

I'm pretty sure it's just in relation to Daisy and the song itself was recorded last year.
