This album sounds like "At The Bottom" was their favorite song on Daisy.

 

Ian probably will give this a 10. Pitchfork....I'll guess a 8.6

 

Could Never Be Heaven and Desert might be my favorites so far.

Yeah anything over 9 would be surprising but I think the timing is right for BNM for sure.

 

Whatever the song I just listened to was at the bottom on steroids

 

P4K has definitely warmed up to Brand New. The cult like following and their cryptic ways for sure help.

 

Track six riff is amazing. This is a guitar album no doubt

 

I sent that man a tweet. Hoping for a response.

 

Jesse is doing a hell of a fucking job on vocals. He sounds...worn down. It's really emotional. His melodies hit hard. Lines im picking up are the most mature he's ever written

 

I'm not going to say you're a fool if Batter Up didn't make you tear up/give you goosebumps, I'm just going to heavily imply it.

 

I'm still so happy this turned out the way it did. It could have very easily been a disappointment after the long wait (and several of my favorite artists putting out less-than-stellar albums this year) but this is exactly what I needed

yeah it really is the perfect album for them to go out on. What a career. Cannot wait to check these songs out live.

 

It's about to be like I'm 15 again because I'm gonna learn every song here on guitar

My brain is fucking scrambled eggs that this band stared 8 years (even a career's worth) of hype in the dome and produced THIS. Jesus.

 

SO true, in the best way. I love that he's working in his lower/softer register for the majority of the record.

 

Initially I thought it left something to be desired, but after the third listen I am in love with it.

Track seven is another daisy sounding cut, it's cool

The oddest thing is this album is called Science Fiction. I don't know why it's funny to me

 

The production helps make the drums such a standout too. Never has a hi-hat sounded so good to me

 

Moments like this make me really love this community.
