I've never listened to a Beyonce song by my own volition and now half my twitter feed makes no sense.

 

You should really start listening to Beyoncé songs

 

A guy I quoted a job for last year is emailing me to ask to use me as a reference for a position within the company I work for. Don't really know what to say to that, I don't know the guy plus I'm just one employee out of 68,000 so

 

I decided not to even open my twitter. I could care less if Jay cheated on her or not.

 

I would not be a reference for someone I don't know. If I can't honestly vouch for them I wouldn't feel comfortable doing so.

 

I don't think anyone would even put me down as a reference.

 

I would never put me as a reference if I were someone else

"So what do you think of so-and-so for this job?"
"Great employee, better friend, best kisser. Next question."

That or "You know who would be great for this job? A Dallas suburbanite named Dustin. Let me tell you about this son of a gun."

 

Once my college roommates friend from high school listed me as a reference for a security clearance. Even though we went to college together I only knew this kid from about 5 interactions when he came to our room to talk to my roommate. He always was sleezy/sketchy and would brag about doing stuff like that. He even bragged about forcing his girlfriend to get an abortion or else he'd leave her/not help with the baby and she did even though she didn't want to. So when the investigator came to talk to me unfortunately I told them I barely knew him to basically brush it off. Then they asked my opinion of him and I basically told them I didn't trust him and generally thought he was someone I didn't want to associate with. I actually felt good for once just telling the truth of how I felt instead of just sugar coating it so he could get a clearance.

Now that think of it I probably got interviewed because I was a known associate of my roommate who Im pretty sure this guy actually did list. Needless to say unless you fully trust/know someone don't listen them as reference.

I know a guy from my school who did the exact same shit. He's not there now so I don't see him anymore thankfully but every time he talked I got so angry.

 

I don't think I've ever had a reference really been contacted/interviewed. This last job I got the background check emailed my references and asked if I actually knew them. Apparently they all wrote these glowing reviews of me when all they wanted to know is if I truly worked with/for them.

 

Back in Ireland. Fuck I need to lie down.

 

I feel like you shouldn't put someone down as a reference without asking them about it first. Especially if it's a coworker/friend whatever. That's just me though. I hate being caught off guard when someone is asking me to give a reference when I wasn't aware I was put down to give one.

 

I like to put people like Obama and some choice celebs down as references.

Watching Ellie Goulding live videos she has improved soooooo much from some of the older stuff I've watched.

 

Getting a security clearance is the worst, you have to have so many references it feels like you're listing everyone you know.

 

So like four in my case

 

My badge wouldn't work this morning and I was convinced that I had been fired. I couldn't get into the lab and had to call someone to let me in. My badge thing was stripped and I had to get a new one. So not fired lol
