Nevermind on my last comment, apparently this is the song from the most recent studio video (External Influence).

it doesn't matter but I'm saying exclusivity before a Friday gives it more ability to not go up until that friday

I didn't know I wanted it to be about him and Mars Hill till now... I'd love for him to out out an angry song about that.

  17. My least favorite to be honest. Lyrics make me laugh still. But it's got a great riff, and if you like it you're totally in on the album.

Interesting choice for second song. Old school fans are gonna be ... obnoxious.

    music and baseball.

That clip doesn't have me too excited for the song, but I am not annoyed by it. I am starting to worry that I might not find this album as good as their past work.

Do you mean in the sense that it's far more straight forward then usual Thrice stuff, a la all thats left (even blood on the sand) and we'll be "protecting" Thrice from the general reaction?

If so, probably, hah. Although I don't get into these talks anymore as I don't see the benefit...I do admit I lap up every single thing they do no matter the style. Thrice transcends the music for me (and I assume other old school fans) and it's the whole package that counts...difficult to explain without an essay.

Based off the clip I was iffy about the lyrics, but musically it sounded awesome. I cant wait for the whole song, I'm so prepared for the onslaught of dissapointed fans attacking it for it not being what they wanted.

Agreed, that song has such a gnarly groove that sets it apart from all the other songs on that album, actually might be one of my favorite off it.

  23. Definitely. It stands out as the one song where Thrice did something completely different than anything before. Anthology and Disarmed are also pretty new feels, but Cataracts is entirely distinct.

Thrice has never really made the same record twice; so the fact that some people are still expecting something familiar, really confuses me.

Hoping I love Black Honey as much as I did Blood on the Sand. If Jason's ( @Jason Tate ) impressions are anything to go by, my loving Black Honey will probably mean the album as a whole will be awesome for my tastes.
